How to Find Process ID (PID) in Windows

Each process must have a unique process ID in all windows operating systems like Windows 7, 8, XP, 2003, 2008 servers. You can find that PID from Task Manager’s process tab or by executing a command in command prompt.

Finding the Process Id (PID) of a windows process. Using task list command you can list all the running process in the system. And you can get the PID of each process from the command output.
C:>tasklist

Find the Process Identifieer (PID) from Task Manager
Steps: Open the task manager and select the “Process” tab.
Now select “View” from menu (on top) and select “Select Columns…”
Now tick “PID (Process Identifier)” and click “OK”

Simplest JavaScript to Open Popup Window from Plain Text

You can use JavaScript to create popup windows. Popup Windows are different to simply opening a new browser window.

If you only want to open a new browser window you can add the target=�_blank� attribute within your tag. Popup windows however, are more powerful. Using JavaScript�s window.open() method, you can determine what the window looks like (i.e. size, whether it has scrollbars, status bars etc) and also determine it�s position on the screen.

However you can do the same (creating pop windows) using buttons. I�ve already described that here.

Here is the simplest JavaScript for generating a pop up window:

– Red are width and height of the popup window.
– Purple are the optional attributes (change to �no� to turn off those attributes).
– Blue is the actual link to be opened in the popup.
– Black (bold) is the text which is visible to user.

Automatically center your popup

Similarly if you want to automatically position your window in the center of the users� screen use the following code. The JavaScript code will detect the screen size (as each user could have a different screen size), then position the popup window in the center.

How to Remove or Hide Watermark in Windows 8

First of all Select your favorite Image and set it as your Desktop background.
Now,Press “Win+R” to open Run Dialog Box

Copy and Paste below text in the Run Dialog Box

Now Windows Explorer will open the Theme folder.Here you will see a “CachedFiles” folder,which contains the cache file of your Desktop Background wallpaper and “TranscodedWallpaper.jpg” file which is your desktop background.
Now,there only make a copy of “TranscodedWallpaper.jpg” file.Just click on the image file and press “Ctrl+C” and then press “Ctrl+V” key in the same folder to make a copy of image.

Now open the “CachedFiles” folder
Click on the image and press “F2” to rename it and copy it’s name

Now go back to the previous folder and then Rename the “TranscodedWallpaper-Copy.jpg” with the name which you copied from CachedFiles folder in above step.
Now Cut this image file and paste it in “CachedFiles” folder.It will ask you to replace the file,simply click on “Replace the File in Destination Folder“
Now go and refresh your desktop and see the magic

Password Protect Your Word Documents

We all use Microsoft Word to create documents.
and some times we dont want other people to access our documents
specially when you are on a shared computer in your company and you may have your certain secret data stored in your word document that should not be accessed by your boss or other employee�s.

To deal with such a situation Microsoft word 2007 integrated a security feature in Microsoft word so that you can password protect your files.

just follow these simple steps to make your document protected

Click on the Microsoft Office Button present on the top left corner of the window.
Now Click on the Save As option
Now a new window will pop up.
Click on Tools option at the bottom of the window.
Now you will have two options.
You can select either one or both options
One is Password To Open it will ask for the password every time the document is opened.
So to view the document you have to enter the password first.
Second is Password To Modify it will ask for the password every time somebody tries to modify the document.

How to get forgotten MMC password back

Option 1: Install and launch MMCPWD application. it will display some special characters including your password.(MMCPwd.sis)

Option 2: locate mmcstore file. install and launch System Explorer or FExplorer application. go to c:system and open (using unicode/hex editor) the mmcstore file. it will display your password. NOTE: you can also copy the mmcstore file to any folder of your phone memory, rename it to mmcstore.txt and open it without using any unicode/hex editor).

Option 3:

1. open up fe explorer thingy.
2. Go to C:system folder and locate a file called mmcStore. Scroll down till you find it.
3. Copy it to C:nokiaothers
4. highlight it
5. click options
6. FILE>RENAME
7. IT should turn blue: right click then write “.txt” (should look like “MMCSTORE.txt”
8. try to open it, (that should be your password, if nothing happens then go to 9.)
9. connect phone to pc
10. Open the file from C:NOKIAOTHERSMMCSTORE
11. copy the file to your desktop
12. open with Windows notepad/ microsoft word
13. that should be your password

“if mmcstore is no longer available (let’s say you already formatted your phone memory so mmcstore is deleted, or you bought a password-protected MMC, or whatever reason), proceed to formatting a password-protected MMC ’cause its hopeless to recover the password anymore.”

FORMATTING PASSWORD-PROTECTED OR CORRUPTED MMC formatting a password-protected or corrupted MMC is different from formatting an ordinary working MMC. YOU CANNOT format such kind of MMC using any Nokia Series60 phone nor even the card reader. To format those kinds of MMC successfully, use a digital camera, Nokia Communicator series phones (such as N9210i), palm devices, or any MMC supported devices other than S60 phones and card readers. if all else fails, bring it to where you bought it and claim for a warranty (if not yet expired) or bring it to any certified MMC expert technician and see if he can do something about it.
