How to Flash Samsung Galaxy Y via Odin

Here is tutorial for flash your Samsung Galaxy Y by Odin,
from here you can able to learn how you can flash your mobile.


Step 1
  •  Download the necessary files below. Those are the firmwares and the software to be used in flashing which is Odin.
    • Download the following.
      • DDLE1
        DDLC3
        DDLC2
        DXLC1
        DDLA2
        DDLA1
        DXKL2
      • ODIN3 v1.84

Step 2

  • Extract all  downloaded files in a location you prefer but I recommend extract it to your Desktop for easy access.

Step 3

  • Open Odin ( for Vista/Win7 users run it as administrator )

Just fill up the PIT and Files[Download] by clicking those 5 buttons then browsing the necessary files indicated below.

BOOTLOADER : BOOT_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5
PDA : PDA_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5
PHONE : MODEM_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5

About Re-partition, it is Optional. You check or uncheck it. If you uncheck, it will do a normal flash, on the otherhand, it will Flash repair your SGY if you bricked it .

Step 4

  • Odin is now ready. Now, turn off your phone and be sure that it has no sim or mmc to avoid deletion of files. Make sure also that you have installed already SGY Drive on your computer or have Samsung Kies installed also. If none, download it here. After all those stuffs press POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN + HOME BUTTON simultaneously. The image on the right should be seen on your SGY.




Step 5


  • You still have the option to back out.hehe.Press Volume Up to continue and Volume Down to cancel. Of course I assume that you pressed Volume Up, then it will show something like this>>>>>>



Step 6 

  • Now, connect SGY to your PC while in Download Mode where we have set the Odin3 v1.4. There should be coloured yellow box under ID:COM and at the bottom part of the software in the Message Box the word “Added” should be seen. This means your SGY is connected via Odin. See screenshot.



Step 7

  • Before clicking the Start button, double check the files Download. Then if all is on their right position, Click the Start Button. Wait until the it is finished. See screenshots on the right to see how it looks when you flash your SGY successfully.





Step 8

  • Don’t remove yet your SGY from the computer because it is still configuring some phone settings. Wait until it automatically reboot. Wait until you see the boot screen. 

Step 9

  • After the successful flashing of your SGY, do a hard reset by typing *2767*3855# . Wait until it is finish. It will reboot again automatically. This process is just for making your SGY a very fresh phone.

Review: Galaxy S3

So at last i got my hands on to a Samsung Galaxy S3. There has been thousands of reviews and hundreds of benchmarks of this hugely popular device. Even today I just read in one of the numerous tech websites I follow that Samsung has reported selling 30 million of this device. My review will be much smaller, much less tech-savvy and much more about the personal feeling I have had after using this device.

First about some basic specs, the SGS3 packs a very powerful Exynos 4412 Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU along with a Mali � 400MP GPU. It also has 1 GB of RAM and comes with ICS 4.0.4 out of the box. It has a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (306 ppi). It really looks very good using and operating such a fast device as is evident to everybody uptil now with the internet crawling with record benchmark scores of this device. Games are very smooth as is browsing websites and watching hi-def videos. But is this everything that matters to an end user? If no, then please read on.

As soon as I got my hands on the SGS3, I opened up the back cover to put in my micro-sim card to start up the device. Imagine my surprise when I saw that I had almost broken the back cover into pieces. It was made of paper thin PLASTIC which to me felt like a small crunchy wafer of a cover. I agree to not having handled many phones in my life which are of brands other than Sony and Nokia, but still when someone has a 40000 INR smartphone in the hand, he expects a somewhat sincere build materials at least.
Now coming to the shape and slippery nature of the phone, a SGS3 without a cover will eventually slip out of your hand one or the other time, so rush over and get a cover as soon as possible for this phone. I have always loved bar shaped phones with smooth round corners but still i feel that Samsung should invest some innovation into making a shape that will not slip out of the user�s hand like a wet river pebble.
The 16 GB internal memory added with the 32 GB expandable external SD card does help storing a huge lot of music, apps and media. Added with the super specs of this phone, it does make a enjoyable experience using this, but some point breakers as stated above made it really tough for me to love this phone.

How to use your Android as a Webcam

Webcam is one of the best inventions which have bettered the online communication process. When you chat online with dear ones, you can�t do without a webcam because it helps us see each other. I have always loved it because I�ve not been lucky enough to stay with my family since I joined college. I know many of you are like me. Skype is our virtual home and the webcam is the door to the home. Imagine you are online, chatting with your old friend. And your friend wants you to video chat. One quick glance at your webcam tells you that your pet has taken the liberty of using it as a teether. Does it spell disaster? Definitely not, if you have an Android device. You can easily use your Android device as a webcam at such times. With an Android device, you can make the best of both worlds. I was in such a situation and wandered around the Android App Store in search of an app that would help me out. Alas! The search ended soon and I found two helpful apps. I�ll explain both and you can use what you find to be comfortable.
Requirements:
These are the common requirements for both apps.
  • You need to have internet connection on both your PC and phone.
  • You can also do it using USB on your phone.
App 1: IP Webcam
  1. Install IP Webcam and IP Camera Adapter on Windows. You will have to use Firefox or Chrome. It doesn�t work properly with the default Internet Explorer. (This is a free app so you will not need to spend a single penny on it.)
  2. Open the IP Webcam app and adjust the settings. You need to choose the resolution, quality, FPS limit, and orientation as per your video needs.
  3. Once you finish this, tap on the Start Server button. It will open a window where you can set your Username and Password. Setting a username is recommended as the adapter sometimes might not allow you to open it without login credentials.
  4. You will find the IP address at the bottom of your device. Ensure that the port number is also visible.
  5. The next step is to choose the video size you would like to have. I�ve tried the Browser built-in viewer.
  6. Now it�s time to open the IP Camera Adapter. Here, you will have to feed information such as your IP, username, and password.
  7. Using the Autodetect button, select the optimal resolution settings for your video. Click on Apply once you�ve adjusted all the settings.
  8. You will have to restart the applications such as Skype, Windows Live, etc., in which you want to use this makeshift webcam.
Note:  Remember:
As it doesn�t render good quality audio, you will have to use your headset for uninterrupted audio. Using it as a webcam will drain the battery charge. Therefore, plug in the device while using it as a webcam.
App 2: DroidCam
  1. Download DroidCam from Android App Store. Click here to go to the website.
  2. It works only on Windows or Linux operating systems. Therefore, choose it only if you use one of these two.
  3. Open the app and wait until you get the �Idle� message. It will appear at the top right corner of the app.
  4. Open the DroidCam program on your PC and configure the settings in the window that appears.
  5. Type the IP of your computer. You needn�t change the port number.

You can now start using your Android device as a webcam. It works for you? Good! But don�t be overwhelmed at this new use of your Android phone and ditch your webcam if it is in good shape. You will need it in the future when you want to have a perfect video quality without any interruptions. This is just a makeshift use of your Android device, it can�t surpass a proper webcam. Find something that can work as a latch to hold your device in the landscape position. Otherwise, you will have to hold the device throughout the chat session. Finding a good latch was more challenging than setting it up as a webcam, so my device kept on sliding and tilting as it didn�t get a good latch to sit on. It�s good for informal conversations with friends and family. However, don�t try to settle down with this if you are attending a virtual business meeting with your client or a higher official.
